So, heres where things stand with Desperation right now, there is a lot of talk happening between all of us that have been involved with this band. We all sat down last weekend and talked about the future and about making music again. It's amazing how fast time can fly and how far some people can drift away. More then anything we all had to catch up and it really made me realize that I love writing music, traveling, and overall just being around those four guys. It was really exciting to just be talking about the possibility of touring again, I miss the road and the friends I have made along the way very much. While it was great to get the ball rolling with conversation we did talk about some of the obstacles we have to overcome as well.
Everyone is in different places in their personal lives, and some are ready to drop everything and go now, while others need a little time to sort things out. With that being said everyone is working on making the adjustments to start practicing and writing again. It's been almost 3 years since we recorded the 7", so its going to be very interesting to get back into this.
I have been very restless since we started talking about this band again. I constantly want to be doing something, in the past week I have compiled my list of contacts for touring, looked at vans at the dealership, and basically just been day dreaming about not living the life I am living now anymore. I have to continually ground myself and my thoughts, and remind myself that we are taking this slow and aren't on any time schedule.
